HYT as well as most manufacturers require the defective equipment to be returned to a specific warranty repair depot during the warranty period. This generally results in extended delays in getting your equipment repaired and back in service. * As you can see there are distinct advantages to Replacement versus Repair. The Replacement is affected only by inventory of the complete unit. Repair is affected by Technician workload and availability to diagnose the equipment and determine the defective part or parts. Then a replacement for every part in the piece of equipment must be in stock as you don’t know which ones you need until after the Technician diagnosis it and if it is not in stock it will have to be ordered causing additional delays.
